Ate my fair share of tasty buñuelos to celebrate in ringing the New Year!
Since I was a little girl, mom always made buñuelos on New Years Eve and as always, I wanted the one that had the most brown sugar and cinnamon on it. That I can remember, that was the only time that she made them, so when the New Year was coming close, we’d always ask, “Mom are you going to make those circle things with sugar on them?” They were so good and you had to wait to eat them once a year, why? Who knew, you were just told back when that buñuelos were only eaten on New Years.
So this, year I ate some and wished for a blessed New Year!
